Our company was founded on the idea of creating products to help alleviate the need to use environmentally harmful refrigerator trucks and single use disposable insulation. There are other factors that can affect the chemical and organoleptic characteristics of the wine during transport, such as humidity, vibration, and light. However, temperature is still the most significant factor affecting the characteristic of the wine. Although temperature variability is indeed a concern during transport too. Daily temperature fluctuations of 25 C can induce an expansion of 1% in the volume of the liquid inside the bottle which can result in oxygen intake oxidizing the wine making it off in taste and aroma. Even though you don’t see physical damage to the bottle of wine, because of the contraction and expansion of the cork air seeps into the bottle of wine oxidizing it.
